Still doing some research on how to tackle this social change idea of inequality using this so far. My approach to it is very weak and I am currently brainstorming different methods. Especially on how I should go about the shooting.

The Power Of One

The Power Of One

An image that I still find astounding til this day after it won the 2007 Pulitzer photography award. In this image is a lone Jewish girl name Ynet Nili who was 16 years old at the time, took a stand against Israeli security forces during heavy clashes with settlers involving illegal outposts seconds before she gets ran over by securities. Although Ynet became very upset about the photo later on to say that things were not exactly what they had appeared to be in the photo, Oded Balilty (the photographer of this image) still took home a prize.

Diversity

In today’s modern world if there’s one word that truly redefines the varieties of our race, cultural, economic, political and even traditional ways it would be diversity. For someone like me who finds deep interest in certain things in life, it would be a complete lie if I were to tell you that I was never curious in learning and seeking the different cultures and race out there. As a child, my curiousness about the world was hyperactive every day. I have reached an age today where experiencing several different things in life exceeds a whole other boundary.
In a one quick general definition, one would be willing to easily define diversity as a term that gets thrown around in our everyday lives not realizing that it is a much more profound term than it just sounds. Here’s what I mean by that. Imagine if god himself when he created both species men and women, gave all men on earth the exact same looks, clothes, personality and everything else that you can ever imagine the same way as the rest. And imagine if he did the same to women. Today we’d be wondering around asking ourselves what’s the point in life when we all look just about the same?
Well, that is the very reason why he planted diversity into our lives. The fact that everyone and everything that we see around us is so diverse from one another is the major purpose that leads us to explore the opposite of everything. And if we actually were to stop and consider for a moment that diversity has a huge positivity within our world, it would also affect the way we all view many aspects of life differently. A phase that I believe god made so simple that many of us are having quite some difficulties trying to comprehend it.
